About

ORA Trails Fest is the evolution of a cross country race that was held in La Crosse for several years. In the past our trails have also hosted an endurance event as well, but we decided to expand to include an uphill time trial, challenging enduro, and still keep a cross country race that includes a bit of everything. We’re excited that you’re here to learn more about our event and hope that our page answers all of your questions. If not, please contact event director, Chris Stindt at chris@oratrails.org and he’ll get back to you as soon as he is able.

Locations and maps
Lower Hixon Parking lot (start of the Time Trial, the lot is quite small and will likely not have space for your car. We strongly encourage you to park at Forest Hills Golf Course and ride the short .5 miles to the start).
Upper Hixon Parking lot (start for the XC and Enduro, please follow volunteers to the temporary lots.)

Race Day Facilities
We will do our best to accommodate everyone! There will be just a few facilities available in the Lower Hixon lot, and much more available in Upper Hixon, near the giant weather ball. This will include bathrooms, water, food trucks, registration and more!

Who is ORA?
The Outdoor Recreation Alliance (ORA Trails) is dedicated to building happy, healthy and resilient communities by providing access to equitable and sustainable outdoor recreation experiences. All proceeds from this event go to support this mission!

Bringing your family?
We have other trails to ride, for folks who aren’t racing!
-See the full map of La Crosse Trails here. Our new Gateway trails are open and available to hiking, biking, birding, and just catching beautiful views!
-La Crosse is home to a wonderful event call Riverfest! There will be music, food, and fireworks!
-The Firecracker 4 Mile run is Sunday morning for the non-riders who want something fun to do.
